The Security Advisory Group is responsible for monitoring the University's general arrangements for security, and specifically to:
· To promote adoption of best practice and cost effective security management in pursuing strategic objectives.
· Advise and make recommendations to EPAG and CMG on the effectiveness of policies and procedures for all security related matters.
· Provide an annual statement to CMG, including statistical information on reports and performance.
· To review annually the University's approach to security.
· Raise security awareness and integrate the security strategy into all aspects of the university system.
· Promote an understanding of the value for money aspects of effective security deployment.
· Continue to implement the Security Policy.
· Create, maintain and review a register of high security risks facing the University.
· Oversee the integrated CCTV cameras throughout the area.
It is acknowledged that security is a shared responsibility. Everyone in the community has a part to play.
Security risk should be monitored continuously and the strategy must evolve to meet changing demands.
