The Research and Innovation Policy Group (RIPG)'s remit encompasses research and innovation policy, research culture, and research governance at a university level, within the context of all University strategies. The group is concerned with researchers, research enabling staff, and research postgraduate students.  Research and Innovation Policy Group's subgroups currently are:   

 

  • Research and Innovation Strategy Group  

  • Research Ethics and Integrity Review Group  

  • Research Cultures Delivery Group  

  • Doctoral College Management Group  

  • REF2029 board  

  • Research Services Operational Executive

RIPG can request that its subgroups deal with and report back on issues as required as well as set up fixed term working groups as required.

 

Research and Innovation Policy Group receives also reports at agreed intervals from: Research Cultures Forum; Technician Steering Committee; Deans of Research: Doctoral College: ERO; and Edinburgh Innovations. It also receives research focussed reports at agreed intervals from: HR; Information Services Group; Communication and Marketing; Development and Alumni and Edinburgh Global.  

 

Research and Innovation Policy Group reports to University Executive and will provide three reports each session to Senate and University Court.
