In order to enhance student support effective online systems are needed. This has been recognised as one of the six principal strands of enhancing student initiative. The role of the project board is to oversee the delivery of the range of IT tools that will be needed to fulfil the vision set by the student support implementation group. The board has a membership which is designed to represent the diversity of the roles and the different user communities across the University. Due to the complexity, the range of stakeholders and the likely impact on existing services, an incremental approach to delivery is being planned which is expected to take a number of years before achieving maturity.
