The Data Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) suite of online learning programmes are hosted by the College of Science and Engineering and run as University-wide programmes with courses contributed from Schools and Deaneries in all three University of Edinburgh (UoE) Colleges (Science and Engineering, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, and Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences).

The programme aims to provide a vehicle for data science online learning with breadth (giving students adaptability), depth (through thematic strands), modularity (with the grain of Schools/Colleges) to provide data science education across the University.

The Programme Oversight Committee (POC) consists of members from all three Colleges including academic members of staff involved directly with the programme (from Schools/Deaneries owning courses contributed to the programme) and those not directly involved.

The responsibilities of the Committee are:

Ø  To ensure effective collaboration in the delivery of the suite of online learning programmes and to foster and strengthen links between Colleges.

Ø  To ensure the delivery of the programmes remains in line with the wider online learning ambitions within the University of Edinburgh.

Ø  To ensure contributions to the programme remain suitable to the interdisciplinary data science subject area and are in the best interest of the students.
